The Give Me a Chance Foundation
Over the past several years I’ve spent a great deal of time reflecting on life, purpose, and the choices that shape the direction we take.
One realization became very clear to me.
Throughout life, many people reach moments when they are ready to move forward but need guidance, mentorship, or opportunity to do so.
Some are rebuilding after hardship.
Some are standing at the edge of a dream they want to pursue.
Often the determination and ability are already there.
What is missing is opportunity.
That realization led to the creation of something I’ve been quietly working on.
I’m excited to share the beginning of the Give Me a Chance Foundation.
The mission of the foundation is simple.
To help individuals move forward in life by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunity.
The foundation is inspired by the philosophy of Living Life Forward, which reminds us that while life unfolds in many ways beyond our control, we can still choose how we respond.
Sometimes people simply need someone who believes in them long enough to help them take the next step.
During the first year, the goal of the foundation is intentionally modest.
We hope to help three to five individuals move forward through mentorship and support.
From those first opportunities will grow the stories that inspire the future of the foundation.
Over time we hope to build a community of mentors, supporters, and participants who believe in helping others move forward.
Because sometimes the difference between where someone is and where they could be…
is simply a chance.
And that is why we believe:
Hope begins with a chance.
